Product Engineer

We are seeking a Product Engineer to manage aerospace investment casting programs from quotation through production. This role serves as the primary engineering owner for assigned products and collaborates with customers, Manufacturing, Quality, Process Engineering, Program Management, Supply Chain, and Operations to support the development, launch, and continued production of complex aerospace components.

The Product Engineer will apply knowledge of investment casting, structural engine components, superalloys, and manufacturing processes to improve manufacturability, resolve technical challenges, support customer requirements, and drive program performance.

This position combines product engineering, project coordination, manufacturing support, and customer-facing technical leadership. The engineer will serve as a key technical resource throughout the product lifecycle and contribute to knowledge sharing and the development of engineering capabilities across the organization.

Responsibilities
  • Manage assigned aerospace investment casting products from quotation through production.
  • Serve as the primary engineering contact for assigned products and customer programs.
  • Lead new product introduction activities for complex aerospace components.
  • Review customer specifications, engineering drawings, technical requirements, and quality documentation.
  • Evaluate product manufacturability and recommend practical process or design improvements.
  • Provide engineering support for investment casting, foundry, machining, inspection, and production activities.
  • Coordinate cross-functional activities across Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Operations, Supply Chain, and Program Management.
  • Support quotation activities, technical reviews, manufacturing feasibility assessments, and cost evaluations.
  • Investigate manufacturing and quality issues using structured root cause analysis and corrective action methods.
  • Support the development and maintenance of PFMEAs, Control Plans, work instructions, and related manufacturing documentation.
  • Communicate program status, technical risks, recommendations, and corrective actions to customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve yield, cost, quality, delivery, and process reliability.
  • Support customer, supplier, and internal technical reviews.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or related methodologies.
  • Share technical knowledge and provide guidance to other engineering team members.
  • Manage multiple technical projects and priorities while supporting customer and production requirements.
Required Qualifications
  • Demonstrated product engineering or manufacturing engineering experience within an investment casting, foundry, aerospace, or highly regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of aerospace investment casting processes and manufacturing requirements.
  • Experience supporting structural engine components, gas turbine components, superalloy castings, or comparable precision products.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, customer specifications, technical requirements, and GD&T.
  • Experience supporting new product introduction and product lifecycle activities.
  • Experience evaluating manufacturability and resolving complex production or quality concerns.
  • Knowledge of root cause analysis, corrective action, PFMEA, Control Plans, and structured problem-solving methods.
  • Experience collaborating across Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Operations, Supply Chain, and Program Management.
  • Ability to communicate technical information clearly to customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Strong project coordination, analytical, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and make informed technical decisions with limited oversight.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Materials Science, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
