Overview
The Facilities Project Manager – Technical serves as the senior technical authority for assigned projects and is responsible for ensuring that all engineering deliverables meet operational requirements, project expectations, and applicable codes and standards.
As a Facilities Project Manager – Technical, you’ll support technical decision‑making, coordinate with designers and builders, and help drive designs from concept through construction. This role is ideal for early‑career engineers looking to grow quickly into technical leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate engineering support across structural, mechanical, electrical, and waterfront disciplines.
- Act as the key technical link between engineering, planning, and third party shipyard construction teams.
- Support design reviews to verify constructibilityand compliance with standards.
- Maintain configuration control, documentation, and design history throughout the project.
- Work directly with ocean asset operators and end‑users to ensure requirements are captured and delivered.
- Assist in verifying that as‑built configurations meet approved design intent.

Required:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering (mechanical, electrical, civil, naval, or related field)
- 1+ year of post graduate engineering experience
Preferred:
- Shipbuilding or industrial project exposure preferred
- Military experience or 1+ years’ experience in one of the following: construction trades, design-build-sustain, engineering, design, planning, testing or demonstrated leadership position
- Ability to interpret technical requirements and drawings
- Proficient in MS Office
- Experience with effective problem solving techniques
- Strong organizational and planning skills
- Contractor/Vendor management experience
- Understanding contracts
- Electric Boat shipyard experience (e.g., construction, test, certification, etc.)
- Program management experience
- Strong communication, coordination, and problem‑solving skills
- Interest in growing into a technical leadership role supporting major ocean asset construction efforts.
- Willingness to assist with issues using independent judgment, ingenuity, creativity andsound decision-making
- Strong team building skills with the ability to encourage and maintain positive cross entity relationships
