Job Description
Job Class: FE 3. Second
Shift: 3 pm–11 pm.
Contract:
12 months with possible extension.
Location:
Groton/New London area, Connecticut (exact site to be provided). Must be a U.S. citizen.
Position type: temporary to permanent possible. Shift: Monday‒Friday 3 pm–11 pm. Non‑driving, may need to drive between sites.
Rate: based on experience; open to recent graduates on the lower band.
Prescreen Questions- How many years’ experience do you have with computer hardware set up?
- How many years’ experience do you have with basic hardware troubleshooting?
- How many years’ experience do you have with basic software troubleshooting?
- Do you have an A+ Certification?
- Being fully vaccinated is required for this position. Will you meet these qualifications by the start date?
- Have you ever worked for
*** as an FTE or contractor? If so, who and when? Did you leave on good terms? - Are you at least 18 years of age?
- Are you comfortable with a second shift?
- Set up computer hardware, basic hardware and software troubleshooting.
- Provide support for software, hardware, and networking for desktops, laptops, and servers.
- Perform maintenance and support on legacy products; support Core and server products.
- Perform disk replacement on enterprise storage products.
- Install and maintain PCs, associated software, networks, servers, and peripherals.
- Support network products from operational and maintenance perspectives.
- Perform installs, moves, adds, and changes as required.
- Test and certify PCs, networks, servers, and client‑approved applications.
- Provide follow‑up on problems or escalation.
- Maintain a high degree of professionalism in actions, demeanor, and dress.
- Ensure customer satisfaction throughout the service delivery transaction.
- Ensure client‑specific Service Level Agreements are met and update incident and request tickets in the ticketing system.
- 1–3 years of computer support experience with basic hardware and software skills.
- Good work ethic and organizational skills.
- Field Engineer 3: perform activities related to installing, diagnosing, maintaining, and servicing computer‑related products at customer sites or depot locations.
- Ability to troubleshoot, repair, re‑load, re‑image PCs/laptops, and install/optimize hardware/software networking products.
