Management Systems Coordinator - IT

Overview

Department 425, Electrical Systems Software and Cybersecurity, is seeking a Management Systems Coordinator - IT. The Management Systems Coordinator maintains and optimizes shipboard submarine IT systems and test support equipment. This hands‑on technical role ensures that applications, networks, and hardware are reliable, secure, and continuously available with minimal disruption to operations. Develop and maintain system security plans, POA&M, and all required risk management artifacts in support of the RMF process.

This position requires domestic travel up to 25% or 2-5 days a month.

Required:

• A minimum of an Associate’s Degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, IT or a related field or 3-5 years of experience in IT.
• Required experience with NIST
  800-171 and NIST
  800-53
• Required demonstrated experience with the full RMF lifecycle (NIST
  800-37)
• Must have the ability to obtain a DOD SECRET Security clearance.

Preferred:

• Must be proficient and familiar with manipulation of settings within Microsoft Windows Server, Linux, and real-time operating systems.

• Expert critical thinking and problem‑solving skills to resolve complex IT issues.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to articulate technical information to non‑technical staff.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple IT projects simultaneously.
• Must be able to work with active directory, various networking topologies, and group policy.
