Position Summary
The Regional Manager of Convenience Stores is responsible for maintaining and developing vendor relationships and providing overall convenience store direction for a designated geographic area. This role involves analyzing business objectives and customer needs, developing and implementing strategies, evaluating operational processes, and promoting a customer-focused environment. The manager will drive business growth, adapt corporate fuel strategies, and ensure the effectiveness of merchandising and pricing programs.
This role will require up to 50% travel within a designated region.
- Vendor Relationship Management:Maintain existing and develop new vendor relationships at a professional level, requiring field-level interaction.
- Business Direction:Establish and provide overall fuel convenience store direction by analyzing business objectives and customer needs. Develop, communicate, build support for, and implement fuel business strategies, plans, and practices.
- Cost Analysis:Analyze costs and forecasts, incorporating them into long-term and day-to-day business plans. Determine and support resource requirements, evaluate operational processes, measure outcomes, and identify improvement opportunities.
- Market Analysis:Lead business growth by assessing economic trends, changing demographics, and competitive market share. Develop action plans to achieve sales and marketing goals and ensure the effectiveness of merchandising, inventory, signing, and pricing programs.
- Strategy Adaptation:Guide and adapt the corporate fuel strategy within the assigned area according to local fuel business requirements. Develop and leverage relationships with key stakeholders and lead company change efforts to maximize sales and market growth targets.
- KPI Implementation:Implement Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) by preparing, analyzing, and reconciling financial reports. Create and administer capital and expense budgets, make recommendations on fuel pricing strategies, and ensure action plans for underperforming stores.
- Project Execution:Drive the execution of multiple business plans and projects by identifying customer and operational needs, developing business plans, removing performance barriers, providing resources, measuring progress, and developing contingency plans.
- Associate Development:Provide supervision and development opportunities for associates by selecting, training, mentoring, assigning duties, building a team-based work environment, establishing performance expectations, and conducting regular evaluations.
- Policy Promotion:Promote and support company policies, procedures, mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity.
- Business Evaluation:Ensure business needs are met by evaluating the effectiveness of current plans, programs, and initiatives. Consult with stakeholders, solicit and apply suggestions for improvement, and participate in community outreach events.
- Experience:Regional management experience in the fuel convenience store or QSR industries.
