Overview
Assembly of valves, gearboxes, operators, trunks, and other mechanical components. Disassembly and troubleshooting of same. Perform fitting, scraping, grinding, and honing. Install and torque fasteners. Precision measurement of parts. Completion of hardcopy and electronic documentation. Perform hydrostatic and air testing of components. Use hand tools, portable power tools, and hydraulic torqueing equipment.

Qualifications Required- High school education or GED or 2+ years relevant technical experience
- 5+ years of previous assembly experience
- Ability to read mechanical assembly and detail drawings
- Available for any shift
- Proficiency with precision measuring tools is desired.
- Candidates whohave successfully completed the CT Department of Labor Eastern Workforce Investment Board Training Program
- Proficiency in shop mathematics
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
