Job SummaryWe are seeking a Maintenance Technician to support facility operations by maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and calibrating mechanical and instrumentation equipment in a cGMP-regulated environment. This role will perform preventive and corrective maintenance activities, support facility upgrades, and ensure equipment reliability while adhering to safety and compliance standards.
The ideal candidate will have experience with equipment maintenance, instrumentation, and calibration activities in a manufacturing or regulated environment. Strong troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills are essential.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain facility mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation equipment in accordance with cGMP requirements.
- Lead complex equipment repairs and troubleshooting activities.
- Perform instrument calibrations and ensure traceability to NIST standards.
- Execute Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures in support of maintenance and project activities.
- Initiate, complete, and close preventive and corrective maintenance work orders.
- Conduct preventive and predictive maintenance on production and utility equipment.
- Install, specify, and calibrate process instrumentation and laboratory devices.
- Troubleshoot and repair instrumentation and automation systems.
- Read and interpret equipment schematics, logic diagrams, and engineering drawings.
- Assist operations teams with equipment troubleshooting and problem resolution.
- Maintain accurate calibration, maintenance, and compliance documentation.
- Participate in department meetings, safety meetings, and training activities.
- Train and mentor technicians on new equipment and system upgrades.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and ongoing professional development.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in equipment, electrical, instrumentation, or maintenance-related roles.
- Familiarity with GMP fundamentals.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Associate degree in a scientific or technical discipline.
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to perform hands-on maintenance work.
- Experience in a pharmaceutical or cGMP manufacturing environment.
- Experience with DeltaV Production Control Systems.
- Experience performing instrument calibrations and maintenance activities.
- Knowledge of automation systems and process instrumentation.
- Experience supporting production and utility equipment maintenance programs.
- Ability to lift and carry more than 50 pounds.
- Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Comfortable working around hazardous materials and manufacturing equipment.
- Onsite position.
- May require work outside standard day shift hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
- Supports facility operations in a regulated manufacturing environment.
