Duties
- You will comprehend and apply contract specifications, regulations, policy statements and other guidelines against contractor performance to ensure the Government is obtaining the maximum benefit from man-hours expended.
- You will have demonstrated knowledge of full range of principles, concepts, and methodology related to electrical, mechanical, and construction practices and procedures for shipboard and facility repair, maintenance, and construction.
- You will work with Contractor's QA Directors to ensure resolution of quality problems, negotiate correction of defects and underlying causes and negotiate the policies/practices to ensure quality assurance in inspection and work performance.
- You will direct the planning, management and ensure the effective execution and completion of work performed by the SUPSHIP Quality Assurance Department.
- You will provide policy and direction to Division Managers to ensure effective audit, surveillance and corrective action programs for identifying and correcting deficient areas of the Contractor's Quality Assurance System.
- You will represent the Command on all quality assurance matters.
- You will lead ship inspection, test techniques, inactivation, reactivation, and disposal work and regulations.
