Senior Associate Scientist Responsibilities
- Apply advanced spectroscopic techniques (Near Infrared, Mid Infrared, UV-Vis, Raman spectroscopy) to support drug product development in laboratory and manufacturing settings.
- Conduct laboratory studies to support analytical testing for pharmaceutical projects, focusing on spectroscopic methodologies.
- Collaborate with colleagues and subject‑matter experts to assess appropriate tools and approaches, including computational predictive tools, modelling software, and data visualization tools.
- Document experimental results and collaborate with the project team for presentation, critical review of data, preparation of technical reports, and evaluation of new instrumentation or analytical techniques.
- Maintain strong collaboration with partner organizations, sound laboratory practices, and a clear understanding of safety requirements.
- Interact effectively with peers and leaders as part of a multidisciplinary team and thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in chemistry (emphasis on analytical chemistry) or other relevant physical sciences, with 2–5 years industry experience.
- Or Master’s degree with 0–3 years experience, emphasis on analytical chemistry or relevant physical sciences.
- Effective communication skills.
- Ability to meet project milestones under general supervision, manage expectations for specific projects, and deliver technology/transfer/submission‑ready data and documents.
- Demonstrated oral and written communication skills, especially adherence to laboratory notebook practices.
- Prior knowledge/experience using optical spectroscopic techniques (Raman, FTIR, NIR, UV‑Visible) and applying them in laboratory and/or manufacturing environments.
- Ability to use computational predictive tools, modelling software, or data visualization tools.
- Experience in problem‑solving and instrument troubleshooting.
- Understanding or experience with quantitative spectroscopic method measurements and chemometrics.
Do not anticipate more than 10% travel. Relocation support available.

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $68,600.00 to $.
