Bench Scientist - II - USD

We are a national staffing firm and are currently seeking a Bench Scientist for a prominent client of ours. This position is located in Groton, CT, 06340. Details of the position are as follows:

• Pay: $50.00/hr to start!
• 1 year contract to start with the possibility of extension or conversion based on budget and performance.
• Shift: Monday
  - Friday, standard day shift, 100% onsite.
• Position will mainly be responsible for conducting laboratory experiments using established scientific methods to support research and development objectives, preparing and analyzing samples using appropriate laboratory instrumentation and techniques, and ensuring accurate and reproducible experimental execution.
• Responsibilities also include documenting experimental procedures, results, observations, and data in compliance with GLP and internal laboratory standards, maintaining accurate laboratory records, and following established protocols and safety requirements.
• Position will also be responsible for collaborating with scientists and cross-functional project teams to troubleshoot experimental issues, evaluate and interpret data, communicate findings, and support research and development projects.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree required.
• Experience with FLIPR, or similar fluorescent based plate reader, such as, FDSS, Flex station, Cell Lux, EnVision, Pherastar, CLARIOstar, Spectra Max, Opera, or Cytation is required.
• Experience with high throughput screening or lab automation is preferred.
• Experience with assay transfer/ validation/ lab process implementation is preferred.
• Experience with animal handling, tissue dissection, histology, or imaging- based animal studies are preferred.
• Experience with ELN’s and Graph Pad Prism is preferred.
