Food Service Worker (Part Time) –
Location:
Groton
Food Service Worker – Non-Union, Regular Part-Time, up to 30 hours/week
Schedule:
Monday–Friday (Day Shift)
Position eligible for prorated benefits. STARTING RATE: $18.50 / hour. POSITION RANGE: $18.50 – $20.00 / hour.
ResponsibilitiesThe Food Service Worker duties primarily entail food preparation, including monitoring food temperatures and maintaining safe food handling regulations. Other responsibilities include maintaining a clean working area, serving, running the dishwasher, mopping, stocking shelves, inventory monitoring, cashiering, and general cleaning of facilities. Supervises kitchen operations in the absence of the Food Service Supervisor.
Provide positive customer service and be able to work with a variety of individuals. Maintain courteous working relationships with town officials, public officials, residents, the general public, other town departments, co-workers, and volunteers. Read and follow directions; work independently and as part of a team.
QualificationsThe skills and knowledge are generally acquired with a high school education and two years of satisfactory work experience in a food service facility. Physical demands include the ability to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, bend, squat, twist, and lift up to 25 pounds. Computer skills are desirable for cashiering systems.
Required Qualifications: Must possess and maintain a valid Motor Vehicle Operator’s License and Serve Safe Certification.
