Role Description

The Internet Sales Representative is a full‑time, on‑site role based in Groton/Norwich, CT. This role focuses on responding promptly and professionally to online leads and inquiries through email, phone, text, and dealership web channels. The Internet Sales Representative will engage prospective customers, answer questions about inventory, pricing, and financing options, and schedule showroom appointments or test drives with appropriate sales team members.

Daily responsibilities include maintaining accurate records in the CRM system, following up with leads and past customers, and coordinating with the sales and finance teams to ensure smooth handoffs. The role also involves monitoring online vehicle listings, updating information as needed, and supporting digital sales campaigns to help drive traffic and meet sales targets.

Qualifications
  • Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport quickly via phone, email, and text.
  • Sales or inside sales experience, preferably in automotive, retail, or a related customer‑facing environment.
  • Comfort with computers, CRM systems, internet‑based tools, and basic data entry.
  • Organizational and time‑management skills, including the ability to handle multiple leads, prioritize follow‑ups, and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work on‑site in Groton, CT, with a consistent full‑time schedule that may include some evenings and weekends.
  • Self‑motivated and goal‑oriented mindset, with a focus on meeting or exceeding performance metrics.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or training in business, marketing, or communications is a plus.
  • Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record and eligibility to work in the United States.
