Overview

Plant Services Carpenter performs general carpentry assignments such as, but not limited to:

* repair/replacement of doors and walls

* installation of ceilings and replacement of tiles

* fire caulking penetrations

* railing repairs

* flooring projects

* install/replacement of stair treads

* window repairs

* locksmith services

* installation of LKM & CDX locking devices

* installation of shelving

* repair/replacement of bathroom partitions

* hanging of Christmas wreaths, pictures, banners, white boards, bulleting/cork boards

* AED medical heart devices

* signs

* cutting of tree limbs with a chain saw

* demolition and renovation projects

* working with sketches and drawings and carpentry related preps for Christening ceremonies.

* Being a self-starter and capable of working alone with minimal supervision

* Working in hot and cold environment conditions.

* Experience in operating power shop tools to include; table saws, drill press, jointer, planner, radial alarm saw, etc.

* Capable of reading and interpreting blue print drawings.

* Knowledge of Carpentry and related building codes.

* Willingness to work daily and weekend overtime in support of special projects.

* Knowledge of flooring project installations.

* Knowledge of basic computer skills

* Locksmith service knowledge.

* JLG qualifications

Qualifications

Required:

* High school diploma or GED or 2 years of related technical experience

* 5+ years of carpentry experience

Preferred:

* 1+ years of commercial construction experience
