Overview
Amentum is seeking a Submarine Peculiar Special & Support Equipment Trades Helper to provide Program Engineering Services to Commander, Naval Submarine Force Atlantic (COMSUBLANT), Submarine Squadron Six and Eight (CSS-6/8), and Naval Submarine Support Facility (NSSF New London).
Responsibilities- Assist one or more workers in the skilled maintenance trades by performing duties of lesser skill, such as keeping a worker supplied with materials and tools, cleaning the work area, machine, and equipment, and assisting journeymen by holding materials or tools.
- Understand that the scope of work varies by trade; in some trades the helper is confined to supplying, lifting, holding materials and tools, and cleaning areas, while in others the helper may perform portions of specialized machine operations or parts of a trade performed by full‑time workers.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
This is an hourly, overtime‑eligible position that falls under the Service Contract Act (SCA). In addition to the base hourly rate, you may be eligible to receive a health and welfare payment per hour to support minimum SCA requirements. The compensation range listed is a good‑faith estimate at posting time.
- Compensation range: $27.00 – $29.00 per hour.
