Installation, Maintenance, and Repair of electrical equipment and wiring. Assets to maintain include Bridges, Feeders, Circuit Breakers, Lighting, Outlets, Wire, Signs, etc..
Essential Functions- Must pass examinations in initial RWP and AMT-2 Classes.
- Must demonstrate knowledge or maintenance or electrical assets.
- Must have prior satisfactory work attendance record, work performance, and safety record.
- Troubleshooting electrical problems and what is required to make repairs.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Must have a High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
- Must read, write, and speak the English language clearly.
- Basic electrical theory, knowledge coupled with the desire and ability to learn.
- Must have a current valid driver's license at hiring.
- Must be able to lift 50lb or more.
- Experience in the maintenance of railroad equipment.
- Completion of technical school or apprenticeship program
Experience as an electrician or lineman with knowledge of tools, rigging, electricity and safety procedures. - Basic Electrical theory, knowledge of electrical components and use of various electrical testing devices.
- Formal electrical training.
- Valid Master Electrician's License or the ability to obtain Electrician’s license within 180 days of employment.
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
The hourly range is $30.95 – $41.26 (with opportunity for increases, as per the applicable collective bargaining agreement, after beginning employment).
