Secret Cleared Marine Electrician

We are seeking an experienced Cleared Marine Electrician in Groton, CT to support the installation, maintenance, repair, overhaul, and modification of electrical and electromechanical systems aboard naval vessels. This role requires strong troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in both shipboard and shop environments while maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.

• Install, repair, overhaul, and modify electrical and electromechanical systems and components aboard ships.
• Troubleshoot electrical systems and components to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Perform cable installation, termination, and testing activities.
• Work on a variety of shipboard systems, including:
  • Cable switches
  • Power panels
  • Electrical hull fittings
  • Fiber optic systems and fiber splicing
• Support system checkouts, grooming efforts, and configuration validation activities.
• Prepare and execute equipment and system modifications in accordance with technical specifications.
• Conduct testing, inspections, and evaluations of electrical systems in shipboard and shop environments.
• Support field service activities, including on-site diagnostics and repair efforts.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, and work instructions.
• Maintain compliance with all safety, quality, and security requirements.

Pay Range: $25.00 - $43.00/hour based on experience.

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. General benefits are available and will be discussed during the hiring process. Employees assigned to travel projects in Groton, Connecticut may be eligible for a daily per diem allowance. Current anticipated rates are $124/day for lodging and $86/day for Meals & Incidental Expenses (M&IE), subject to project requirements, employee eligibility, and applicable company travel policies.

• Active security clearance:
• Minimum of 6 years of shipboard electrical experience.
• Experience installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical systems aboard naval or commercial vessels.
• Experience with cable switches, power panels, electrical hull fittings, and fiber optic splicing.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, drawings, and technical documentation.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to travel as required.
• Schedule
  -Candidates must be open to working 1st or 2nd shift based on operational needs.
• Candidates should also be available to work 6 x 10-hour shifts when project schedules require.
