Exclusive opening with our client for a Microsoft Power Apps Developer supporting a high-visibility initiative focused on process automation, application development, and operational efficiency improvements across the business.

Location: Groton, CT (Hybrid, preference for 3 days onsite)

Duration: 6 months contract-to-hire

Start: ASAP to Mid-October

This is a Microsoft Power Apps Developer role, not a general Power Platform Developer role.

We are specifically looking for candidates with hands-on Power Apps development experience . The hiring team is focused on individuals who have built and supported Canvas Apps and Model-Driven Apps and can speak in detail about the applications they have personally developed.
Candidates whose experience is primarily centered around Power Platform administration, governance, reporting, or only light exposure to Power Apps will not be a fit.

The ideal candidate will partner directly with business users, engineering teams, manufacturing personnel, quality teams, and operational stakeholders to design and develop low-code applications that streamline business processes, automate manual tasks, improve data visibility, and increase productivity.

This person should be comfortable owning the full development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, solution design, development, testing, deployment, troubleshooting, and ongoing enhancements. Strong communication skills are critical, as this individual will regularly interact with both technical and non-technical users.

• Strong hands-on Microsoft Power Apps development experience
• Experience building Canvas Apps and Model-Driven Apps
• Power Automate workflow and process automation experience
• Integrations with SharePoint, Dataverse, SQL, and other enterprise systems
• Experience gathering requirements directly from business stakeholders
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Comfortable working onsite in Groton, including time within IT offices and the shipyard

• Manufacturing, engineering, quality assurance, shop-floor operations, pharmaceutical, public health, or other regulated environments
• Experience working with large datasets
• Exposure to SQL, Python, Microsoft Copilot, or other automation technologies
• Self-starter who can quickly learn complex business processes and work independently
