Shift: Day Shift (10hrs) Monday to Thursday

We are investing in our facility and looking for an experienced, self‑sufficient CNC Lathe Machinist to join our Groton team. If you take pride in holding tight tolerances and can confidently take a semi‑complex part from a manufacturing print to a finished product, we want you on our shop floor.

• Set up, program, and run our fleet of 2‑axis CNC Lathes.
• Doosan Puma VTL (Fanuc Series 0i control)
• SMEC SL 3500L (Fanuc Series 0i‑TF control)
• Nakamura‑Tome TMC
  300 (Fanuc Series 16‑T control)
• Perform turning, facing, boring, grooving, drilling, and threading.
• Execute hard turning operations utilizing CBN tooling.
• Consistently hold and verify tight tolerances of +/- .0005”.
• Use Surfcam CAM software, Predator DNC editor, and make direct G‑code edits at the Fanuc controls.

• 3+ years of proven experience setting up, programming, and operating CNC Lathes in a precision machining environment.
• Strong proficiency with Fanuc controls (Series 0i, 0i‑TF, 16‑T) and standard G‑code programming.
• Expert ability to read, interpret, and work independently directly from manufacturing prints and engineering drawings.
• Experience with CAM software (Surfcam highly preferred) and DNC editors (Predator).
• A self‑starter who can troubleshoot issues and run semi‑complex parts without constant supervision.
