$35.00 – $41.00/hr. on W2

We are looking for an experienced Facility Maintenance Plumber to join our team in Groton, CT. This role is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and performing preventive maintenance on plumbing and mechanical systems throughout the facility. The ideal candidate will have strong plumbing experience and knowledge of facility maintenance operations.

• Perform troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance on plumbing and mechanical systems.
• Maintain and repair pumps, piping, drains, valves, backflow prev enters, and water systems.
• Install, repair, and replace plumbing fixtures and piping systems.
• Inspect facility equipment and perform corrective maintenance as needed.
• Perform maintenance on water filtration, reverse osmosis (RO), and vacuum systems.
• Conduct preventive maintenance on eyewash stations, safety showers, and backflow devices.
• Repair and maintain hot water, chilled water, potable water, and waste systems.
• Perform pipe fitting repairs and modifications.
• Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and technical documents.
• Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Follow Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), GMP, GLP, and all safety procedures.
• Complete work orders and maintenance documentation accurately.
• Work closely with team members, contractors, and customers to resolve facility issues.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in plumbing and mechanical maintenance.
• Experience maintaining and repairing commercial or industrial building systems.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read technical drawings and maintenance documentation.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and SharePoint.
• Valid driver's license or ability to obtain one if required.

• Must be able to obtain facility credentials/authorization.
• U.S. Citizenship or Permanent required.
• Ability to pass respirator medical evaluation and fit testing.
• No sponsorship available for this position.

• Lift and carry up to 50 lbs regularly.
• Climb ladders, stairs, and scaffolding.
• Frequent bending, kneeling, stooping, squatting, and reaching.
• Extensive walking throughout the facility.
• Ability to wear required PPE and work safely in industrial environments.

• Industrial, pharmaceutical, laboratory, or commercial facility maintenance.
• Plumbing, pipe fitting, water treatment, and mechanical systems maintenance.
• Experience with pumps, valves, heat exchangers, compressors, and water filtration systems.
• Knowledge of GMP, GLP, and Lockout/Tagout procedures.
