Mount Carmel Health System is seeking a Hematology Oncology physician for locums coverage at the Mount Carmel Grove City Cancer Center, located just outside Columbus, Ohio.
This is a well-supported oncology program within a multidisciplinary cancer center environment.
Practice Setting
Cancer Center with integrated oncology services
Schedule
Monday Friday
8:00am 4:30pm clinic hours
After-hours call handled through answering service with only urgent calls escalated
Clinical Responsibilities
- Outpatient Hematology and Medical Oncology care
• New patient consults ( minutes)
• Follow-up visits ( minutes)
• Collaboration with radiation oncology, surgical oncology, and hospital teams
• Participation in multidisciplinary treatment planning
Support Structure
- Advanced Practice Providers assisting with inpatient coverage
• RN navigators
• Oncology pharmacist
• Social workers and dieticians
• Genetics and research support services
The cancer center includes 12 exam rooms with 9 dedicated to medical oncology and an infusion center with 16 chairs and 2 private infusion suites.
Patient Volume
Typical clinic schedule with a balanced mix of new consults and follow-ups.
