Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review journal entries and conduct detailed general ledger analysis.
- Perform monthly reconciliations for bank accounts and investment portfolios.
- Manage month-end closing procedures, ensuring accuracy in account reconciliations.
- Serve as a backup for Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions.
- Oversee capital asset management, including tracking depreciation, additions, disposals, and reporting.
- Ensure compliance with prevailing wage requirements by coordinating certified payroll submissions and updating wage rates.
- Assist in creating monthly financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and projections.
- Contribute to quarterly organizational reporting and compliance with solid waste management plans.
- Develop presentation materials for board and committee meetings, including audit packets and financial reports.
- Support grant writing initiatives and periodic reporting as required by grantors. Requirements - Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in general ledger management, account reconciliations, and financial audits.
- Familiarity with capital asset management, payroll review, and compliance processes is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Oracle Net Suite.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of corporate tax, sales tax, and payroll reconciliation processes.
- Experience in grant writing and prevailing wage compliance is a plus.
- Commitment to ongoing attention to detail in development and adherence to continuing education requirements.
