Job Description SummaryMaintains overall functionality of the General Radiology sections at offsite facilities. Oversees radiologic technologists and the performance of diagnostic imaging examinations.
Job Description Essential Functions- Maintains staffing, productivity, and quality of patient care.
- Collaborates with site directors and managers to recommend and implement changes in operations and procedures within the site as it would corollate with Radiology services.
- Interviews and hires new employees;
Mentors, coaches, educates, and evaluates staff. - Maintains quality control and assurance; planning, collecting, and preparing continuous quality improvement information in collaboration with the QC coordinators.
- Monitors sections organization, supplies and budgetary expenses.
- Monitors compliance with regulatory guidelines, providing staff education.
- Submits recommendations for section budgetary considerations.
- Maintains a variety of section and department functions to include participation in administrative call.
Graduate of an accredited educational program for Radiologic Technology, required.
Licensure Requirements- Active Status with the Registry by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, required.
- Valid “R” category Ohio Radiological License, required.
- Valid Ohio driver’s license and proof of auto insurance as required by hospital policy and position-specific requirements. Must pass motor vehicle background inspection, insurance eligibility, driving qualifications, and training set forth by Nationwide Children’s Hospital and maintain qualification of insurance guidelines.
CPR certification, required.
SkillsExcellent communication and organizational skills.
Experience- Minimum 3 years of clinical experience in the Radiological Sciences required preferable pediatrics.
- Two years of supervisory experience within a healthcare or imaging services setting, preferred.
OCCASIONALLY:
Biohazard waste, Chemicals/Medications, Driving motor vehicles (work required)
