Primary Function

The System Administrator will be responsible for the management and maintenance of network resources, servers, Microsoft 365, and AWS infrastructure. This role focuses on day‑to‑day operations, incident response, system monitoring, and backup/recovery processes. The individual will work independently but collaborate closely with the Cybersecurity Manager as part of the security response team.

Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a System Administrator or in a similar role.
  • Strong experience managing and supporting Microsoft 365 (Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, Intune, etc.).
  • Hands‑on experience with AWS operational tasks (EC2, S3, IAM, etc.).
  • Proficiency in managing servers, network resources, and backup/recovery processes.
  • Solid understanding of monitoring tools and incident response best practices.
  • Familiarity with system security principles and collaboration with cybersecurity teams.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating with cross‑functional teams.
  • Excellent organizational and documentation skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certifications such as MCSA/MCSE, AWS Solutions Architect, or similar.
  • Experience with automation tools (e.g., Power Shell, scripting languages) for system management.
  • Familiarity with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper‑V).
Summary
  • System Maintenance & Operations
  • Perform day‑to‑day management, monitoring, and maintenance of network resources, servers, and cloud‑based infrastructure (Microsoft 365 and AWS).
  • Ensure system availability, reliability, and performance through proactive monitoring and troubleshooting.
  • Conduct regular updates, patch management, and system upgrades.
  • Backup, Recovery, and Monitoring
  • Design, implement, and manage backup and disaster recovery strategies to protect critical systems and data.
  • Continuously monitor systems to identify and resolve issues in real‑time, minimizing system downtime.
  • Microsoft 365 Administration
  • Manage all aspects of Microsoft 365, including Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, One Drive, and Intune.
  • Handle user provisioning, access management, and license administration.
  • Optimize M365 configurations to align with organizational needs.
  • AWS Infrastructure Management
  • Manage day‑to‑day operations of AWS resources, including EC2 instances, S3 storage, IAM roles, and networking components.
  • Ensure proper resource utilization and implement cost‑efficient practices.
  • Incident Response & Security Collaboration
  • Respond to system incidents, troubleshoot issues, and extend when necessary.
  • Collaborate with the Cybersecurity Manager to address system vulnerabilities and participate in the security response team.
  • Maintain system security protocols, including user access controls and monitoring for unauthorized activity.
  • Documentation & Reporting
  • Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date system documentation, including configurations, processes, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Provide regular reports on system health, incidents, and maintenance activities.
  • Collaboration & Support
  • Support end users by troubleshooting system access, connectivity, and operational issues.
  • Coordinate with other departments to implement technology improvements and resolve issues effectively.
