Field/Service Technician, Installation Technician
Our Technical Field Representative travels to customer locations and completes field data collection analysis using specialty equipment and blast design software under the direction of the Technical Engineer or Blaster-in-Charge. The Technical Field Representative will also perform various duties related to the shot including sampling, stemming, booster and cap layout and other duties supporting local Quick Supply Co. operations as needed.
Responsibilitiesof the Position
- While carrying out daily responsibilities safety and compliance must be the priority. Takes personal responsibility for safety and champions company-wide safety goal of zero incidents.
- Travel to customer locations and complete field work.
- Highly proficient with the technology and tools used to survey, design, control and assess blast sites and shot services.
- Responsible for providing data to blasters and other company representatives on the shot.
- Performs various duties as assigned to support the blast crew and other operations as needed.
- Follow all safety rules and regulations while performing work assignments and adhere to all policies and procedures as specified by the company and its customers.
- Maintain a positive and professional working relationship with peers, management, and support resources, with a constant commitment to teamwork and exemplary customer service.
- Participate in company-sponsored training to develop and advance knowledge base and skill set.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Hold or obtain an FAA Part 107 UAV license.
- Must be able to meet ATF eligibility requirements as Employee Possessor.
- Ability to learn and function proficiently using various computer software applications.
- Strong work ethic and ability to stay calm under pressure.
- Strong workmanship, excellent organizational skills, time management and attention to detail.
- Able to think logically to solve problems independently.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills focused on constant commitment to teamwork and exemplary customer service.
- Travel with overnight stays may be required.
- Must be able to work outside on rough terrain in all weather conditions and able to lift and carry 55lbs or more on a regular basis.
- Work involves a variety of manual tasks including shoveling, bending, stooping, standing, lifting, climbing.
- Frequent exposure to heavy equipment
- Must be able to work 50-60 hours a week during peak business demands.
