We are seeking an experienced Quality Inspector who models the accountability and humility that define our culture and who will thoughtfully bring the efficiency, effectiveness, and quality needed to help our growing $15 million company keep up with rapidly rising demand.
What You’ll DoYour responsibilities will include:
- Perform precision inspections on machined parts using CMMs and other inspection tools such as gages, calipers, micrometers, and bore gages.
- Analyze drawings and create inspection plans to determine the best method of inspection for efficiency and accuracy.
- Work closely with the production team, engineers, and management to communicate quality issues and provide input on improvements.
- Conduct floor audits including visual and dimension inspection and work closely with the team to catch issues early to prevent scrap.
- Assess risks and discern appropriate action.
- Review and interpret CMM inspection reports to ensure parts meet quality standards.
- Conduct first article approvals.
We’re looking for someone with a strong quality mindset, keen attention to detail, and discernment to assess risks and make sound decisions in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
The skills needed:
- Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, understanding tolerances and customer requirements.
- Deep knowledge of quality control principles.
- Sharp attention to detail and ability to identify discrepancies.
- 3 years related hands‑on experience performing dimensional inspections in a shop environment.
- Excellent quantitative aptitude.
- Able to work well in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently and as a team player.
- Proficient at communicating clearly and effectively.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
