Description
A Clerk is responsible for supporting the quality department by maintaining accurate records, inspecting products and processes, tracking quality metrics, and ensuring compliance with company and customer quality standards. This position requires strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work closely with production, warehouse, and operations teams to identify and resolve quality concerns.
RequirementsA Clerk is responsible for supporting the quality department by maintaining accurate records, inspecting products and processes, tracking quality metrics, and ensuring compliance with company and customer quality standards. This position requires strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work closely with production, warehouse, and operations teams to identify and resolve quality concerns.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform inspections of incoming, in-process, and finished products to verify they meet quality standards.
- Maintain accurate quality records, inspection reports, and documentation.
- Verify corrective actions have been implemented.
- Conduct routine audits of production processes and work instructions.
- Communicate quality concerns to supervisors and operations personnel.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, customer requirements, and safety standards.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying trends and recommending process improvements.
- Assist with inventory holds, product segregation, and disposition of non-conforming materials.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and data handling
- Basic administrative and record-keeping skills
- Ability to follow standardized processes and quality procedures
- Good communication skills
- Previous experience in a quality, clerical, or warehouse environment preferred
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check
- Must be able to pass a drug screening
- Warehouse environment with moderate to high noise levels
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching throughout the shift
- Ability to lift up to 33 pounds as needed
- Required use of Personal Protective Equipment while on the shop floor
- Exposure to moving equipment and operational warehouse conditions
