Position
Retail Assistant Store Manager (hourly wage: $13.00 to $17.00 per hour). This role offers commission based on performance and a bonus based on store performance.
We are currently looking for the right candidate to join our team.
Responsibilities- Facilitate a customer-centric environment by engaging customers professionally and addressing issues promptly.
- Monitor and assist in the training of Pawnbrokers to meet First Cash standards.
- Recruit top talent by sourcing candidates through prescribed channels.
- Open and close the store, manage cash drawers and merchandise, and ensure asset protection procedures are followed.
- Safeguard assets through inventory control, safety procedures, documentation, and securing customer loans.
- Administer store processes including inventory, loan management, merchandising, store presentation, systems, and reporting.
- Analyze store financial statements and drive profitability through communication and goal setting.
- Maintain operating standards that meet or exceed First Cash standards.
- Monitor loan qualification and buying processes to ensure value and integrity of loans issued.
- Complete assigned tasks and training for self-development; communicate store mission and objectives clearly to employees.
- Stay up-to-date on product knowledge and act as manager on duty in the absence of the Store Manager.
- Other related duties as assigned.
- Willing and able to perform duties for extended periods (standing, bending, walking, lifting up to 50 pounds).
- Demonstrated ability to supervise others and work with firearms (certification may be required).
- Willing to assist customers in exterior areas or retrieve products stored externally.
- Minimum Age: 18 years;
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience. - Ability to work in multiple locations as business needs dictate; flexible retail schedule including weekends/holidays.
- Assistant Store Manager will work 40+ hours per week; hours are not guaranteed.
- Computer literate; able to operate POS systems and office machines.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment; detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Analytical skills; cash handling experience; ability to work independently with minimal supervision; strong work ethic and business sense.

- Flexible hours with most stores opening around 9 AM and closing around 6 PM;
Sundays often closed. - Earned Wage Access program available after the second day of employment; withdraw up to 50% of wages earned up to seven times per payroll cycle.
- Unlimited commission potential above base rate; up to 8% commission on transactions for sales roles.
- Vacation: 1 week after six months; additional week after 1 year; 2 weeks on each anniversary thereafter; 120 hours after five years (adjusted for state/local requirements).
- Sick/Personal time: 8 hours after 6 months; 16 hours annually (years 2-5); 24 hours after five years (adjusted per local requirements).

The commission incentive plan is proprietary to First Cash. Assistant Store Managers have the potential to earn 2-8% commission based on gross profit of personal performance. Details provided during interview.
