Overview
We’re seeking an Assistant Store Manager to join our team to help with store operations, customer service, and team development.

Responsibilities- Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities
- Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns
- Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom or sales floor, ensuring seasonal areas are maintained
- Perform opening and closing procedures as needed
- Process corporate directives, including pull & hold/ destroy, task compliance, key survey information requests, and other store communications
- Maintain promotional effectiveness of storefront fixtures and displays
- Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, and record keeping (payroll, scheduling, cash deposits, receipts)
- Maintain store areas to company standards and keep the sales floor well-stocked and the stockroom organized
- Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash
- Adhere to policies, procedures, safety guidelines, and ensure associates follow company policies
- Supervise, train, and develop Store Associates
- Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment while interacting with customers, associates, and leaders
- Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, including bathrooms, floors, trash, and overall presentation
- Perform other duties as assigned
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred; reading, interpreting, and explaining operational directives required.
- Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
- Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
- Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment required.
- Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills required.
- Strong problem solving and decision-making skills required.
- Potential requirement to obtain specialized licenses for sale of alcohol and/or tobacco as required by local jurisdiction.
