Basic Purpose

The Warehouse Workerpositionis responsible forcarrying out thelogisticsof receiving, processing,storingand sending inventory according to the SAP system and shipping schedules. Their duties include loading orders onto trucks and shipping containers,unloading and organizing incomingstockand putting the appropriate labelson outgoing orders. The warehouse worker may also package material off from a railcar or bulk truck into gaylords boxes using a pneumatic packaging system. Assist other team members as needed and lead orassistwith special assignments or tasks as requested.

Position

Responsibilities
  • Performs required pre-use inspections of equipment inspections andproviderequired reports.

    Monitor hours of service accurately.
  • Provides outstanding customer service duringthe delivery and pick up operations.
  • Ensure delivered goods correspond to productsidentifiedon the bill of lading.
  • During loading and unloading of truck process: check weights of shipment andmonitordistribution weight to legalroad limits, check material for damage and quantity discrepancies, and engageappropriate Nexeo Plastics team member if any discrepancies exist.
  • Picksup empty or partially empty drums, totes.
  • Reviews paperwork to ensure transport of material is authorized and in compliance.
  • Operates forklift to pick material, store and stage material and bulk off load material from either bulk tank trucks orrail cars.
  • Performs any other tasks assigned to support and improve the overall team operations (e.g., warehouse clean up).
  • Attends andparticipatein training meetings.
  • Performs duties and tasks in a manner consistent with Business Responsibilities of Nexeo Plastics.
  • Specialtasks as assigned.
Minimum Requirements (Education,Experience & Skills)
  • High School diploma or GED preferred
  • 0-2year’spreviouswarehouse experience preferred.
  • Inventory, Equipment maintenance, data entry and computer skills may be required
  • Must be able to read, write,speakand understand and apply instructions in the English language.
  • Must be able to understand andcomply withall laws governing the trucking and warehousing industry.
  • Must be able to perform basic mathematical calculations related to container quantities, blending, etc.
  • Must be a team player/team oriented
  • Must be available to work multiple shifts
  • Continuouslybe able toidentifywarehouse layout and assess clearance between objects.
  • Ability to see warning signals.
  • Ability to stand and walk, as constantly throughout the day.
  • Work requires exerting force frequently, and/or up to 55 pounds to constantly move objects, lift, carry and put away parcels.
