Candidates must be able to start with a 24 hour notice once their backgrounds are cleared. No interviews; manager will hire off of resume. All candidates will be given a written and driving test for the pallet jack and reach truck and must pass in order to continue with the position.
3rd shift 8:00 pm until 4:30 am Sunday through Thursday. Must have experience with ride on pallet jacks and reach truck, which must be on the candidate’s resume and involve completing the task at the job.
0-3 Years of experience. Responsible for operating an electric pallet jack or forklift, selecting the correct products from warehouse racking, labeling product using SOS label technology, palletizing product as it is selected to build customer orders, and delivering product to the dock in a safe and efficient manner.
Hand selects orders within various warehouse environments of fluctuating temperatures, including dry, cooler, and freezer, operates assigned SOS unit to create labels, correctly places labels on product, stacks product on pallets in accordance with proper selecting procedures (e.g., no stacking heavy-on-light, labels facing out, etc.), stages pallets for loading on proper dock locations, stretch-wraps product on loading dock, maintains and safely operates all assigned equipment, including but not limited to pallet jack, SOS unit, and personal protective equipment, and performs pre and post-trip inspections of equipment.
Must follow Sysco Safe preferred work methods at all times and follow sanitation requirements in order to comply with policy set forth by Sysco and by AIB (American Institute of Baking). This position requires working until all products are accurately selected and loaded including potential overtime on holidays and weekends.
Essential skills include the ability to meet or exceed minimum efficiency levels established through an engineered production standard, working rapidly at a constant pace for the entire shift in a fast-paced environment, meeting or exceeding established cases per error goals, and developing a good working knowledge of product, placement, and inventory control techniques and procedures.
Basic requirements include being over the age of 18, the ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English as it relates to the job and safety requirements, basic arithmetic skills, and adequate physical fitness to lift up to 100 lbs regularly. Preferred requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent. Reports to Night Warehouse Manager/Supervisor.
