Overview
The Distribution Warehouse Associate is responsible for receiving, storing, pulling, loading, and shipping products while maintaining a safe and organized warehouse environment. This position plays a critical role in ensuring inventory is handled accurately, customer orders are fulfilled correctly, and products are delivered on time and without damage.
The Distribution Warehouse Associate works closely with warehouse team members, drivers, and supervisors to support daily operations and meet customer expectations. This position requires attention to detail, a strong work ethic, teamwork, and a commitment to safety, accuracy, and productivity.
Shifts- First shift:
Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (overtime as business requires) - Third shift:
Sunday – Thursday, 7:30 PM – 4 AM (overtime as business requires)
- Receive, inspect, locate, and store inbound materials in designated warehouse locations while maintaining inventory accuracy.
- Pull, stage, package, and load customer orders according to established procedures to ensure accurate and timely shipments.
- Operate forklifts, order pickers, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
- Verify product quantities, locations, and documentation while reporting inventory discrepancies, damages, and shortages as identified.
- Support will-call customers by accurately pulling, packaging, and loading materials while providing prompt customer service.
- Maintain warehouse organization, housekeeping standards, and assigned cleaning zones to support a safe and efficient work environment.
- Perform equipment inspections and immediately report safety concerns, accidents, damaged equipment, or hazardous conditions.
- Follow company policies, safety procedures, warehouse operating procedures, and inventory control practices.
- Assist with inventory counts, stock rotation, replenishment activities, and other warehouse projects as assigned.
- Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to support daily warehouse operations and customer service objectives.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Previous warehouse, distribution, shipping, receiving, inventory, or material handling experience preferred.
- Satisfactory result on a pre-employment drug screening
