Warehouse Worker; Day Shift - Equipment Operator

Work schedule: 7:00am–3:30pm (or until the work is complete) Monday–Friday. Must have the flexibility to work overtime as necessary due to customer needs.

Warehouse Operations is responsible for performing and controlling a combination of manual or automated tasks for the receipt, storage, and shipment of product. This includes receiving, picking, packing, shipping, staging, transporting, storage, and delivery, ensuring an efficient flow of products from vendor receipt to shipment to internal and external customers.

• Driving material handling equipment such as a reach truck and/or order picker to pick orders or replenish stock
• Using the pick system to select small units of measure and place items on a cart
• Palletizing large items for skid and wrap
• Packing small items in boxes
• Cross-training in multiple areas of the warehouse including inbound and outbound

• Willing to be trained and certified on all equipment within the facility
• 1–2 years related experience preferred
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Previous material handling equipment experience (MHE) preferred
• Ability to lift 50 lbs consistently and to bend, reach, stoop, lift, and stand for a shift of 8 hours or more
• Work at heights up to 25 feet consistently
• Must be able to work overtime with reasonable notice
• Aptitude to work in a fast-paced distribution environment while meeting hourly distribution performance standards
• RF scanner and/or voice-picking experience highly preferred
• Adherence to site safety regulations and use of required personal protective equipment
• Willingness to learn to operate material handling equipment and rotate into various warehouse areas
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office products and general computer skills desired

• Self-motivated and able to work in a team-oriented environment with moderate to limited supervision
• Works on routine assignments that require some problem resolution
• Learns and applies new information and methods to the assigned area
• Ability to comprehend and accurately process paperwork in accordance with policies and procedures
• Flexibility and adaptability with good multi-tasking skills
• Maintains appropriate licenses, training, and certifications
• Works within clearly defined standard operating procedures and/or scientific methods
• Adheres to all quality guidelines
• Refers complex or unusual problems to supervisor
