The hours for this position are 8:45-4:15.
The 1:1 assistant provides direct support to ensure the student can safely access and participate in educational activities throughout the school day. Responsibilities include assisting with classroom participation, transitions, behavior support, implementation of IEP accommodations, and promoting independence across school settings. The assistant also provides self-help support as needed, including assistance with toileting, personal hygiene, eating, and other daily living skills, while maintaining the student's dignity, safety, and engagement in learning.
The 1:1 assistant collaborates with teachers, therapists, and other school personnel to support the student's academic, behavioral, communication, and functional goals.
