Position Description

Ryder is hiring a Fueler Service Technician in Groveland, Florida, offering weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a career you can feel good about.

• Hourly Pay: $20.50 per hour
• Schedule:
  
  Monday through Friday, Weekends OFF
• Hours:
  
  Second Shift 2:30 pm – 11:00 pm

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Two or more years of related work experience preferred
• Proficiency in written and verbal English
• Customer service skills
• Must be 18 years or older
• Basic computer skills (word processing, spreadsheets, email); ability to read and understand codes and instructions
• Thoroughness and dependability
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including shift work, weekends, holidays
• Work at different locations

• Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A preferred
• DOT safety regulated position
• Safety sensitive position
• Regulated service employee: must obtain CDL within 6 months after hire
• Pass a Ryder drug test
• Pass a DOT physical
• Pass a Ryder road test
• Pass a Ryder background and motor vehicle check including drug and alcohol verification from prior employers for the last three years

• Fuel, wash, and detail vehicles
• Perform multi‑point inspection on inbound units per company policies; check tire pressure, oil, and report service issues to shop
• Record fuel activity and maintain fuel and DEF inventories and reconciliation
• Move heavy‑duty vehicles
• Perform minor maintenance tasks such as tire repairs under supervision
• Maintain fuel island area to Six Sigma standards and policies; perform some facility maintenance and assigned tasks
• Perform other duties as assigned
