Maintenance Technician; 2nd Shift

Peerless Saw is a 100% employee-owned manufacturing company celebrating 94 years in business in Groveport, Ohio. We are searching for a dependable, initiative-taking, mechanically inclined Maintenance Technician with a Strong Mechanical Aptitude to join our team.

We have been making world-class saw blades for over 90 years, and we are looking for a Maintenance Technician to keep our operations running strong. Starting pay is based strongly on ability and experience in the range of $25 - $32 per hour.

• Perform routine, preventive, and corrective maintenance on production equipment and facility systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, and equipment manuals.
• Assist with installation and commissioning of new equipment.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance performed and parts used.
• Respond quickly to production equipment issues to minimize downtime.
• Collaborate with production to improve equipment reliability.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies.

• Minimum 3 years of experience in industrial maintenance or related field.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical/vocational training preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude: ability to disassemble, diagnose, and repair mechanical components.
• Familiarity with tools such as calipers, micrometers, torque wrenches, and power tools.
• Basic understanding of electrical and control systems is a plus but not required.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Effective communication and documentation skills.
• Strong attention to detail and a positive “Can-Do” attitude.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
