Fabrication Associate

Volt is immediately hiring for a Fabrication Associate, in Groveport, OH.

As a Fabrication Associate, you will be:

• Responsible for moving loose or bundled pipe within the shop and yard.
• Responsible for assembling pipe orders (single sticks or bundles) and maintaining organized work supplies.
• Responsible for following safety precautions for fabricating, cutting, assembling, stacking, and shipping pipe.
• Responsible for operating powered industrial equipment by OSHA guidelines and procedures.
• Responsible for setting up and maintaining machines for pipe fabrication.
• Responsible for measuring, recording, and adding random pipe lengths accurately.
• Responsible for measuring and cutting pipe using band saws or torches.
• Responsible for threading and beveling pipes using landis machines, inspecting and maintaining forklift equipment.

This is a full-time contract opportunity.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Experience with machinery, band saws, automatic welding machines. mechanical background
• Experience using and understanding tape measures and use of Gauges for quality checks.
• Ability to sort/shift pipe ranging from ½" to 10".
• Experience with reading and understanding work orders.
• Experience with machinery for cutting and threading pipes.
• Knowledge of good computer skills for automated machinery.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with auto mechanics, machinery maintenance, automotive lines, diesel, or farm equipment
• Experience in fire sprinkler pipe fabrication.

Pay Rate: $19.00 - $20.00 per hour.
