General Information: The Lead Compo under performs and leads all functions within the Compounding Department related to the manufacturing of bulk products in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOP) and work instructions (WI). This role supports the Compounding Supervisor and Compounding Manager with required tasks.

What we are looking for
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent with proficiency in math and reading comprehension
  • Minimum of five years compounding experience in a chemical processing or manufacturing environment
  • Compounding/processing, pre‑weigh, or sanitization experience preferred
  • SAP experience strongly preferred
  • Previous leadership experience strongly preferred
  • Ability to promote and participate in a team‑oriented and collaborative environment
  • Ability to adapt to rotating assignments with a positive attitude and results
  • Strong problem‑solving, analytical methods, and technical skills
  • Good understanding of FDA Good Manufacturing Practices Regulations (GMPs) and OSHA safety requirements
  • Self‑starter with a strong work ethic and positive attitude
  • Strong communication (written and oral), interpersonal, team‑building, and organizational skills
  • Must be able to understand and complete procedure documents in accordance with SOPs and WIs
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously and manage time efficiently and effectively
  • Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office)
  • Ability to use measuring and testing devices

This position is responsible for
  • Performing, leading, and assigning activities of the compounding department to meet production schedules, performance expectations, and the highest level of quality
  • Reviewing, identifying, and resolving errors or discrepancies within SAP and the Manufacturing Instruction Packets
  • Identifying and recommending new equipment or methods to improve productivity and capacity
  • Communicating performance expectations to department employees and delivering feedback as required
  • Collaborating with other departments to improve operations and participating in special projects as requested
  • Conducting investigations on batching issues, incidents, and deviations to assure root causes are identified and corrective actions are implemented
  • Performing all work in a manner consistent with the company’s quality system and FDA GMP practices, including maintaining a clean and orderly area at all times
  • Following, promoting, and enforcing KDC’s safety and environmental policies, practices, and procedures
  • Assisting the safety department and safety committee with investigations and corrective actions related to safety hazards or incidents
  • Verifying all compounding employees have received necessary training and are following all applicable SOPs, work instructions, and cGMP procedures
  • Performing other duties as assigned
