Scope of Position
Lead the Distribution Center Quality Management System to ensure order accuracy, damage prevention, inventory integrity, and customer satisfaction. Supervise one or more quality team members. Reports to Director of Distribution Center Operations. Based fully onsite at Groveport, OH. Up to 25% travel.
PrimaryJob Duties and Responsibilities
- DC Quality Management System (QMS) & Compliance – Own DC QMS including SOPs, document control, audit calendar, and management review. Serve as site representative for ISO 9001, lead internal audits and corrective/preventive actions.
- Customer Quality & Continuous Improvement – Define and publish DC quality KPIs (Perfect Order Rate, Accuracy, Damage Rate, Returns Trends, Customer Complaints). Lead root cause analysis and communication for customer quality issues. Facilitate Lean and Continuous Improvement projects.
- Inbound Quality (Receiving & Put‑Away) – Establish receiving inspection standards. Manage over, short & damaged (OS&D) shipping variances and partner with vendors on defect trends.
- Outbound Quality (Pick/Pack/Ship) – Implement pick audits, AQL sampling, and final load audits. Set packaging standards to reduce in‑transit damage.
- Inventory Integrity & Data Quality – Own cycle count quality, root cause analysis of variances, monitor WMS data hygiene and scanning adherence.
- Returns, Non‑Conforming & Disposition – Chair the DC Material Review Board. Define quality hold protocols and traceability.
- Training, Standards & Governance – Develop standards of work, quality checklists, audit routines. Train associates and leaders on quality criteria.
- Cross‑Functional Partnerships – Collaborate with Operations, Safety, Transportation, IT, Customer Service, and Procurement.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, manufacturing, business or related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of quality or operations experience in a distribution environment.
- Experience with Lean Six Sigma and data analysis.
- Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office and statistical packages.
- Ability to work with Customer/Supplier representatives on all quality related issues.
- Excellent organizational skills with a focus on detail.
- Knowledge of WMS processes and inventory control.
- Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certification.
- ASQ or supply chain certification.
- Proficiency with Minitab.

On‑site at the Groveport distribution center; may occasionally work on the floor and will wear appropriate personal protective equipment. Office work Monday–Friday; scheduled hours communicated by manager.
Physical Requirements- Remain seated at a desk or workstation for extended periods.
- Perform repetitive tasks such as typing and using a mouse.
- Move around the office and handle light objects up to 25 lbs.
- Read documents, use a computer and perform data entry.
- Communicate clearly in meetings or phone calls.
- Operate standard office equipment (computer, printer, phone, copier).
