Regulatory Compliance Specialist
Quality Assurance Technician
Assist with tasks related to quality of finished products, raw ingredients, and packaging materials. Ensure Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and food safety practices are followed.
Collect measurements, test, and report results on various components to ensure they fall within specification ranges. Ensure that sandwiches are being built to specification. Conduct in line audits/product assessments for specification compliance on food products. Coordinate with production on regulatory and quality issues and document corrective actions. Ensure GMPs are being followed. Assess facility for sanitary compliance. Collect weights and measurements of finished good products.
Ensure package integrity and accuracy. Follow the HACCP Plan to ensure food safety. Assist with training incoming QA technicians. Demonstrate ability to perform pre-operational inspection and ATP swabs. Assist in pilot runs and data collection as needed. Other duties as assigned. Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this position.
High School Diploma, or equivalent, and 1-2 years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience. Bachelor's Degree in scientific field preferred. HACCP certification preferred. Knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Ability to use iPad/tablet. Ability to operate standard lab equipment. Excellent time management and task prioritization abilities. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Be detailed and organized.
Problem solving skills. Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Knowledge of Food Safety fundamentals is desirable. Strong attention to detail; data and sample collection, accuracy in paperwork. Good decision making and reasoning skills. Ability to interpret regulations and product specifications. Ability to interact with all levels of organization.
While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to stand; talk or hear. The associate is frequently required to walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl and occasionally sit; climb or balance; reach with hands and arms; taste or smell. The associate must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the associate is occasionally exposed to work near moving mechanical parts and extreme cold (non-weather). The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
