Com Maintenance Technician

Position Summary

This role involves the maintenance, repair, and upkeep of industrial equipment and material handling machinery to ensure operational reliability and safety within the warehouse.

• Communicate verbally and in writing with customers, suppliers, and associates.
• Complete work orders, records, logs, and other documentation according to established procedures.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on equipment such as lift trucks, pneumatic systems, hydraulic equipment, dock equipment, banana room equipment, and electronic and electrical equipment.
• Operate material handling equipment, battery‑powered equipment, moving machinery, and other powered equipment.
• Clean and maintain grounds, parking lots, fencing, and building facilities including bathrooms and plumbing.
• Read and understand technical drawings, blueprints, and electronic/mechanical schematics to repair and maintain equipment.
• Change industrial batteries for all types of power equipment, including removal and replacement of battery retention plates.
• Inspect, clean, and repair industrial equipment batteries, and maintain tips, contacts, and cables.
• Assist other maintenance technicians in the repair and maintenance of equipment.
• Troubleshoot complex problems with equipment when repairs are not immediately visible or obvious.

• 2 years of experience in industrial maintenance working with electrical, electronic, and mechanical equipment (e.g., forklifts, conveyors, building equipment, automated equipment) OR coursework or certification in industrial maintenance, electronics, electrical, mechanical automation, mechatronics, or related areas.
• Experience reading blueprints, schematics, and equipment manuals.
