Warehouse Manager; Groveport, OH

The Warehouse Manager maintains receiving, warehousing, and operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing programs, policies, and procedures.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day warehouse operations
• Maintain record keeping and warehouse documentation
• Supervise and assist with loading outbound storage
• Serve as company liaison during customer moves
• Operate CMV (Commercial Motor Vehicle)
• Manage HHG crews on local moves
• Supervise/unload, check off, and vault inbound storage
• Set up trailers and trucks for road and local work
• Perform international wrapping, packing, loading, blocking, and bracing
• Train new hires and re-train employees to meet quality standards
• Prepare reports such as trailer reports and inventory lists
• Handle move-related paperwork, reweighs, and documentation
• Keep the warehouse organized and clean
• Assist with fueling the company fleet as needed
• Perform other job duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• Supervisory experience preferred
• CDL Class A license and clean driving record
• At least 5 years of HHG warehouse experience
• Strong organizational skills
• Knowledge of SOP for international cargo
• Proficiency in MS Office and internet use
• Ability to become forklift certified

Physical Requirements

• Must be DOT medically qualified
• Ability to work under pressure, communicate, organize, and plan efficiently
• Ability to follow and give detailed instructions
• Physical ability to shift gears, lift up to 20 lbs., and perform tasks requiring upper body strength
• Capacity to drive trucks and tolerate seated posture for extended periods
• Ability to walk, climb stairs, and access various environments
• Visual acuity for driving and task performance
• Capability to transfer furniture and personal items manually, with specific weight limits and distances
• Ability to pack, stack, and handle boxes and furniture, including using dollies and other equipment
• Endurance to perform repetitive tasks and tolerate different working environments
