Overview
Location: Grovetown, GA
Salary: $33.00 USD Hourly – $38.00 USD Hourly
Position: Assembly Manufacturing Engineer
Location: Grovetown, GA
Duration: 12 months with possible extension
Responsibilities- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety, quality, cost, and efficiency, with strong operator and team engagement.
- Support new product introductions and manage engineering change and continuous improvement activities for current production.
- Identify, evaluate, and implement safety and ergonomic improvement projects.
- Conduct and ensure effective execution of assembly process audits.
- Analyze, develop, and implement new manufacturing processes and technologies.
Skills & Qualifications
- Plan, coordinate, and execute manufacturing engineering projects of moderate complexity.
- Assign, coordinate, and review work completed by support staff and contractors.
- Develop and maintain routings, methods, layouts, tooling, cost estimates, standard work, quality plans, and labor standards.
- Provide daily production support and troubleshoot operational issues.
- Analyze data to identify and implement effective, data-driven solutions.
- Drive cost reduction, quality, safety, and ergonomic improvements.
- Use manufacturing and engineering tools for e-builds, modeling, and simulations.
- Lead lean manufacturing initiatives aligned with standard production systems.
- Design operational layouts and improve material flow and part presentation.
- Lead studies related to capacity, productivity, energy usage, and efficiency.
- Review and adjust performance pay plans; support baseline development for new plans.
- Experience implementing manufacturing changes in a production environment.
- Proficiency with ERP and engineering design tools (e.g., SAP, PLM/PDM systems, CREO, AutoCAD).
- Strong background in line design, time studies, line balancing, and labor/cost structures.
- Experience supporting or managing capital projects.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology, or equivalent relevant work experience.
