Summary
The Site Engineer (Industrial & Quality Engineering) serves as a key technical partner to site leadership, supporting both operational efficiency and quality system effectiveness. This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and improving manufacturing processes; establishing and maintaining quality standards; developing labor and process standards; supporting material flow and site readiness; and assisting with operational planning, safety, and problem resolution. This position acts as the primary engineering and quality liaison at the site, ensuring production processes are capable, compliant, efficient, and aligned with customer, regulatory, and certification requirements.
Essential Functions

* Analyze manufacturing processes, layouts, material flow, and workforce utilization to improve productivity, throughput, safety, and cost.
* Develop, implement, and monitor site-level key performance indicators (KPIs) related to efficiency, scrap, quality, and capacity.
* Conduct time studies (MTM), capacity modeling, and labor analysis to establish production standards and staffing requirements.
* Review, define, and document process and system requirements for new or modified manufacturing operations.
* Lead implementation of process and system improvements to enhance operational performance.
* Develop and support material flow planning procedures in partnership with Operations.
* Provide training, standard work documentation, and technical support for manufacturing processes.
* Support site leadership with operational planning, continuous improvement initiatives, and problem resolution.
* Establish, implement, and uphold site quality standards in alignment with customer requirements and industry regulations.
* Serve as the primary site-level quality resource for issue resolution, loss reporting, and continuous improvement.
* Develop and maintain APQP documentation, including process flows, PFMEAs, control plans, and validation records.
* Prepare and submit PPAP documentation in customer-required formats and systems.
* Develop and support test methods and inspection procedures to validate product and process quality.
* Review drawings and specifications to ensure adherence to customer and regulatory requirements.
* Evaluate root causes of scrap, defects, and nonconformances; lead corrective and preventive actions to eliminate recurrence.
* Monitor manufacturing processes, tooling, and gaging systems to ensure calibration standards, process controls, and quality checkpoints are effective.
* Serve as the primary on-site contact for internal, customer, and third-party audits.
* Audit quality systems and processes to ensure adherence to Quality Management System requirements.
* Maintain site compliance with IATF 16949 and ISO 9001 certifications.
* Partner with Operations, Safety, Supply Chain, IT, Finance, and external vendors to support ongoing site operations.
* Collaborate with suppliers and customer quality representatives to resolve quality issues and implement effective corrective actions.
* Confer with internal stakeholders and vendors regarding process changes, specifications, and quality requirements.
* Participate in all company quality, continuous improvement, and operational excellence initiatives.
* Travel to customer or vendor sites as required for meetings, audits, or quality-related activities.
* Participate in all TVS SCS quality and excellence initiatives.

Work Environment
This job is performed in a busy warehouse environment with high forklift traffic. Warehouses are subject to seasonal temperatures. Safety vests are required personal protective equipment (PPE)
