CPA Controller - Fractional

Reporting to the President, the Controller will serve in a fractional capacity and will oversee all accounting, budget, tax and forecasting activities. The Controller will provide oversight and guidance to full‑time Accounting Manager that is responsible for the day‑to‑day accounting activities.

• Supervise and provide guidance to the on‑site Accounting Manager
• Oversee the monthly close processes, review account reconciliations and estimates
• Review revenue and expense project coding
• Prepare consolidated financial statements
• Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and internal accounting policies
• Update forecast and budget models
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy
• Assist with tax preparation and coordinate with external tax advisors
• Prepare annual budget
• Assist leadership with strategic planning and forecasting
• Assist with due diligence activities and requests
• Prepare financial reports for board meetings
• Provide technical accounting guidance on complex transactions

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting - required
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive accounting experience – required
• Consultant must be US based – required
• Currently working in a consulting or fractional role – required
• Experience in biotech or pharmaceutical industries - preferred

• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP
• Building and dynamic financial models for budgeting and forecasting
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency with accounting systems and financial reporting tools

• Fractional / part‑time engagement (approximately 5-10 hours monthly)
• Flexible schedule based on company needs
• Reports to senior leadership (President and CEO)
