As a travel RN in the Emergency Department, you'll join an interdisciplinary team dedicated to top-tier, individualized patient care. This assignment exposes you to various leadership styles and evidence-based clinical practices that broaden your expertise and professional portfolio. Here, practice standards are guided by a shared governance model and the latest research, supporting your continuous growth as a nursing professional.
Schedule/Hours:
- 7:00 pm - 7:00 am
- Night shift
- On-call: (2) 24-hour periods within every 8-week cycle
- Current RN license in GA or multi-state compact
- Associate's or Diploma in Nursing required;
Bachelor's degree preferred - BLS, ACLS (or equivalent), and PALS required upon hire or within 180 days
- TNCC or ATCN (required within 18 months)
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced ER setting
- Evidence of professional competency, critical thinking, and effective use of technology
- Less than 1 year of direct patient care experience preferred
- Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments using evidence-based practice
- Collaborate closely with physicians, patients, and families for patient-centered care
- Serve as a role model and mentor for colleagues and students
- Ensure timely and accurate documentation
- Uphold all standards, policies, and ethical codes
- Participate in performance improvement, research, and shared governance initiatives
- Plan, implement, and evaluate outcomes to ensure optimal patient safety and experience
