This role is for a New Graduate RN Resident participating in a 12-month Nurse Residency Program designed to support new nurses (less than 6 months of experience) transitioning into professional practice.
Key responsibilities include providing patient-centered, evidence-based nursing care, performing the nursing process, and collaborating within an interprofessional team to ensure safe, high-quality care. The RN Resident will undergo comprehensive orientation phases, including system, core, and specialty onboarding, guided by experienced leaders and preceptors.
Qualifications include a nursing diploma or bachelor’s degree, active RN license (single state or multi-state compact), and Basic Life Support certification.
Skills required are strong communication, critical thinking, technological proficiency (including experience with electronic health records), and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Additional duties involve supporting performance improvement, participating in research and protocol development, and fostering a culture of safety and excellence. The role emphasizes professional development, teamwork, and adherence to organizational standards.
