Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical Day Shift

Role

Med Surg RN supporting a high-impact, multi-campus care team in a dynamic healthcare environment.

• Deliver personalized, evidence-based nursing care by owning the full nursing process from assessment to evaluation.
• Build meaningful connections with patients and families, respecting their values and care goals.
• Drive top clinical outcomes using current best practices and participate in performance improvement, research, and shared governance.
• Create a safe, collaborative environment fostering teamwork and staff engagement.
• Mentor fellow nurses and interdisciplinary team members, supporting ongoing professional development.
• Lead evidence-based practice initiatives, contribute to patient care decisions, and support continuous quality improvement.
• Proactively plan care across the patient journey, shaping protocols to enhance experiences and reduce readmissions.

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (required); BSN preferred.
• RN license (single state or multi-state compact) and BLS/ACLS certifications (required).
• National certification in specialty (preferred).
• At least 2 years of recent Med Surg experience, with computer data entry proficiency.
• Familiarity with Epic and 3M systems (preferred).

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Comfort with Microsoft Office and basic technology tools.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and manage clinical emergencies effectively.
• Strong critical thinking, time management, and evidence-based decision-making abilities.
