Reporting directly to the Purchasing Supervisor, your focus will be on managing costs and ensuring quality in purchasing decisions that support production goals. Engage in strategic sourcing, analyze market trends, and develop supplier relationships that foster mutual benefits and efficiency in operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Negotiate and establish supplier contracts effectively

• Assess costs of purchasing options including discounts and fees

• Monitor material prices in response to global market changes

• Generate reports on purchasing performance and cost savings

• Contribute to the implementation of lean purchasing initiatives
Requirements:

• Post-secondary education in a relevant field or equivalent experience

• Minimum two years of experience in purchasing preferred

• In-depth knowledge of commodity management and cost drivers

• Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and report generation

• Ability to adapt in fast-paced environments and collaborate with teams
