About the Role
We are looking for a licensed Financial Services Associate to serve as a senior member of our branch sales and leadership team. The role focuses on understanding members’ financial needs, providing appropriate advice and recommendations, and proactively promoting Meridian products and services. The incumbent will manage member portfolios, build and develop relationships, and work with internal partners in Wealth, Small Business, and Mobile Mortgage to deliver value‑added financial solutions.
Responsibilities- Provide consultation and advice on credit, investments, and other financial products that meet member needs.
- Actively engage in revenue‑generating and sales‑based activities, including opening new member accounts and driving referrals.
- Maintain member portfolios and deliver exceptional member experience, ensuring compliance with credit limits and underwriting standards.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with members and internal partners, resolving issues at first contact when possible.
- Collaborate with branch leadership to support corporate strategies and programs, including digital initiatives and Omni‑Channel integration.
- Participate in community engagement and promotional activities to support Meridian’s presence in local communities.
- Highly engaged team player, demonstrating empathy and respect for colleagues.
- Communicates openly and participates actively in planning and implementation of team goals.
- Shares best practices, promotes innovation, and fosters a supportive team environment.
- Delivers an exceptional member experience and offers insights to continually improve.

- Identifies opportunities to deepen relationships through the use of Meridian tools and virtual platforms.

- Communicates effectively, builds cross‑functional relationships, and champions corporate initiatives.
- Participates in community engagement plans, promoting Meridian through local events and programs.
- Post‑secondary education and at least 3 years of equivalent work experience in a financial services sales environment.
- Minimum MFDA licensing required.
- Strong business acumen, financial industry knowledge, and excellent organizational and member service skills.
- Proven ability to achieve sales and revenue goals, maintain member relationships, and work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
- Excellent negotiation, interpersonal, written and oral communication skills; ability to resolve member concerns.
- Strong technical proficiency and ability to adopt emerging technologies such as AI, Power Platform, and virtual platforms.
- Integrity, teamwork, continuous learning, and a focus on member experience.
Salary Range: CAD $52,000 – $78,000 annually. Compensation is based on skills, experience, and internal equity; higher placement is possible for strong alignment to role requirements.
