What you’ll do…

We’re currently looking for a Human Resources Director to head our HR department at East Gen! This role reports directly to the CEO, is a member of the executive leadership team, and works closely with the Board of Directors. In this role, you will be a key driver of our people-focused culture and deliver operational excellence for all aspects of the HR function.

This role is eligible for a hybrid working arrangement, with 3-days per week based from our head office in Guelph, ON.

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Provide coaching, guidance, and business partnership to leaders
  • Ensure East Gen is legally compliant and up to date on relevant policies/procedures
  • Ownership of talent management processes throughout the full employee lifecycle (employer branding, recruitment and selection, succession planning, performance management, employee relations, exit management, etc.)
  • Manage compensation, wellness, benefits, and retirement savings programs
  • Oversight of full payroll cycle (bi-monthly)
  • Maintain a safe working environment through Health & Safety Programs
  • Develop and execute annual learning and development strategy
  • Use data to inform business decisions through HR Analytics and KPI Dashboard
  • Support internal communication and employee engagement initiatives
  • Lead HR strategic projects as required
  • Travel up ~10% of the time across Ontario and Atlantic provinces

Ideally you will bring the following skills and abilities to this role:

  • Minimum 7 years progressive HR experience; ideally in a Sr. HR Business Partner, HR Manager, or related position
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, human resources, or related field
  • CHRP, CHRL, or CHRE designation, or equivalent
  • Strong knowledge of Canadian employment legislation and best practices
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills
  • Previous experience in ADP is an asset
  • Experience in organization design and/or compensation program development is an asset
